Terms of Service

Anglo Tutors is a directory. We publish tutor profiles and make it easy for families to find and contact tutors directly. We are not a tutoring agency, employment service, or school: tutors listed on the site are independent providers, not our employees, contractors, or agents. We do not arrange, supervise, attend, or take responsibility for lessons.

The decision to engage a tutor, and responsibility for that engagement, is yours. We strongly recommend that you speak with any tutor before starting, check references, and remain present or nearby during lessons with minors, whether in person or online.

The Verifiedbadge means our team reviewed the tutor's academic degrees, teaching certificates, or specialist licenses and found them consistent with the profile. It is a document check only: it is not a criminal background check, a character reference, or a guarantee of quality, safety, or results. Profiles without the badge have not completed any document review.

Lessons, scheduling, rates, and payment are arranged directly between you and the tutor. We are not a party to that relationship and do not process lesson payments.

Everything on your profile and application must be accurate and yours. Misrepresenting credentials, experience, or identity results in permanent removal from the directory, without refund.

Listing on the directory is a paid membership billed at the rates shown on the site. Memberships can be canceled at any time; cancellation stops future billing and your profile is removed at the end of the paid period. We may decline or remove any listing at our discretion, including for conduct that harms families, other tutors, or the directory's trustworthiness; in that case, unused paid time is refunded pro-rata unless removal was for misrepresentation or misconduct.

You are an independent provider. You are responsible for your own taxes, invoicing, insurance, and legal compliance, including any requirements that apply to working with minors.

Don't scrape the directory, harvest contact details, submit false applications or messages, upload content you don't have rights to, or use the site for anything unlawful. We may block access for misuse.

The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct, qualifications, or services of any tutor or family, for the outcome of any lesson, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the membership fees paid to us in the twelve months before the claim, and for families, who use the site at no charge, to ₪100.

Tutors keep ownership of the content they upload (photos, flyers, descriptions) and grant us a license to display it on the site and in promotional previews (for example, when a profile is shared). The site's own design, text, and branding are ours.

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and disputes belong to the competent courts in Israel.
