Privacy Policy

To offer the services provided on anglotutors.com, we must collect the following data:

Tutor applications and profiles: the details you submit when applying: name, email, phone, city, education, certifications, experience, rates, and any photo or flyer you upload. Approved profiles are published on the site by design; your email and application details are not published.

Verification documents: tutors seeking the Verified badge send us copies of degrees, teaching certificates, or specialist licenses. These are reviewed by our team and stored privately as the record of what was checked; they are never published. Please do not send government ID documents; if one is received, it is deleted once review is complete.

Contact messages: the name, email, and message you send through the contact form.

Tutor accounts: your login email and session data needed to keep you signed in.

Technical data: we use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand site usage. Cookies on this site are essential ones only, they keep tutors and administrators signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

Contact activity: when you contact a tutor, we record which tutor, when, and whether you used WhatsApp or the site form, along with how you found them: the website or campaign link that brought you here, the first page you visited, and the page or directory search you came from. Your browser also keeps a random identifier so we can see how many tutors one family reaches out to. These details are held in your browser's storage and are sent to us only when you contact a tutor. We store them separately from any message you send, and we do not record your IP address or connect this activity to your name, email, or phone number. You can remove the stored details at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

To operate the directory: reviewing applications, publishing approved profiles, connecting families with tutors, sending the emails the service requires (application confirmations, login links, approval and membership notices), and answering messages. Contact activity helps us understand how families find tutors, so we can improve the site and our outreach. We do not sell personal information, and we do not send marketing email without consent.

Data is stored and processed with our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), and Resend (transactional email delivery). Each processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. These providers may store and process data outside Israel, including in the United States; we ensure that any such transfer is made in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. Payment for tutor memberships is handled by our payment provider; card details never touch our servers.

Published profiles remain while the membership is active. Applications and messages are kept while relevant to operating the service, as are contact activity records. Verification documents are kept privately for as long as the profile carries the Verified badge, and deleted on request when a profile is removed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below); we may retain what the law requires, such as billing records.

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Tutors can edit most profile details directly from the dashboard. For anything else, email hello@anglotutors.com and we'll respond promptly. These rights comply with Israel's Protection of Privacy Law.

The site is for adults: parents seeking tutors and tutors offering services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Details about a child's tutoring needs are shared by parents directly with tutors, not through us.
